We supply and install VELUX skylights, roof windows and blinds across Greater Melbourne and surrounding regions in Victoria.

Information we collect

We collect personal information when you:

  • submit a quote request through our website, including your name, contact details, property address or suburb, project details, and any photos or plans you choose to upload
  • contact us by phone or email
  • browse our website, through the analytics and security tools described in Section 4

We do not collect payment details through this website, and you do not need an account or login to use the site.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, assess your project, arrange a quote or site visit, and deliver the service you’ve requested. We may also use it to keep records of our communication with you and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not currently send marketing emails or newsletters. If that changes in future, we will only do so with your consent and in line with the Spam Act 2003.

How your information is stored

Quote form submissions are stored in our website’s database, hosted in Australia. Confirmation and notification emails are sent through our web host’s mail server, also based in Australia.

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including the use of website security and firewall software. If we become aware of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will take steps in line with our obligations under Australian law, including notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where required.

Analytics, security and cookies

Our website currently uses the following tools:

  • Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors found the site. This may involve some information being processed by Google LLC, which operates servers outside Australia, including in the United States.
  • Website security and firewall software, to help protect our website from malicious activity. This may involve processing technical information such as IP addresses for security purposes.
  • An internal email log that keeps a record of emails sent from our website, including quote confirmations, for troubleshooting purposes. These logs are stored on our Australian-hosted server and are not shared externally.

These tools may use cookies, small files stored on your device, to operate. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect how parts of the website function.

We are not currently using Meta/Facebook Pixel or similar advertising tracking tools. If we introduce tools like this in future, we will update this policy and, where required, seek your consent before doing so.

Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose it to:

  • our website hosting and IT service providers, for the purpose of operating this website
  • the software and service providers listed in Section 4, to the extent necessary for them to provide their services to us
  • VELUX Australia or other suppliers, where your name and job address are needed to order products or arrange delivery to your project site
  • any party required by law, such as a regulatory body or court

Access and correction

You can ask us to access or correct the personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 9. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Premier Skylight Group Pty Ltd may qualify as a small business under the Privacy Act 1988 (businesses with an annual turnover of $3 million or less are generally exempt). We have chosen to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles as best practice.
